Although bitter rivals Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans fulfilled their coaching duties on The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights a while back, Rampage recently voiced his displeasure with having to deal with Evans during filming.

“I would’ve preferred to have did The Ultimate Fighter against [Lyoto] Machida—to fix the problem back in the day from square one,” Jackson told Fighters Only.

Jackson believes the only reason Machida wasn’t assigned coaching duties after beating Evans for the title was of his inability to speak English.

“Just X Rashad [Evans] out because he don’t got the damn belt, but Machida’s English is not so good so I get stuck having to fight Rashad,” said Rampage.

“He all cocky and think he did something good 'cause he’s on The Ultimate Fighter, but like, ‘Dude you just got knocked the hell out! You on The Ultimate Fighter by default 'cause the dude that knocked you out don’t speak English bro. Don’t be coming here acting like that.’”

After a brief retirement from the UFC, Jackson has been perfectly clear on what his MMA goals are moving forward. If he had it his way, Rampage would get the 205-pound title back first and then avenge his losses to Forrest Griffin and current champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

“I feel like fighting Rashad is taking a step backwards, but how things worked out, I think that this will be a good warm-up fight for Shogun,” Rampage stated.

The first step in Jackson’s master plan will be at “UFC 114: Jackson vs. Evans” when he looks to hand Evans his second loss in his last three Octagon outings.
