The NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series was in Atlanta this weekend at Atlanta Dragway. Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle all tried to tackle the hot track in Atlanta for some great drag racing.

Larry Dixon scored his fourth win of the season in the final round defeating Brandon Bernstein who went red. Dixon ran a 3.91 at 311.49 to take his Al Anabi Racing Top Fuel dragster to the winner circle again and has control of the Top Fuel Point Standings. A great run for Bernstein in the Copart dragster as they have struggled most of the season and looked to have turned it around in Atlanta.

Robert Hight defeated teammate Ashley Force Hood in the Funny Car final scoring back to back wins at St Louis and Atlanta on Sunday. Hight had a great race with Ashley Force Hood. Hight ran a 4.18 at 298.01 mph and John Force who went out in the semi-finals still has the Funny Car point lead heading to Topeka.

Jeg Coughlin finally turned his season around Sunday defeating Rickie Jones in the final round for Pro Stock car. Coughlin ran a 6.65 at 207.21 mph, ending Rickie Jones' quest for a victory. Jones did very well Sunday defeating Johnny Gray in the semi-finals and also took out Mike Edwards in round one and Greg Anderson in round two. Mike Edwards still has a huge point lead in the standings even though he has fallen into a slump at the last two events.

Andrew Hines defeated Hector Arana in the Pro Stock Motorcycle find on Sunday. Hines ran a 6.96 at 190.24 mph in the Screamin Eagle Vance And Hines Harley and Hector Arana will still remain atop the Point Standings in front of Matt Smith.

The NHRA heads to Topeka next weekend tune into ESPN2 for Qualifying and Final Rounds next weekend.
