Last Tuesday on ECW, The Hardy Boyz made a brief resurrection of their once great tag team that was very popular and held the Tag Team Title numerous times.

As you all know, the WWE has more or less gotten rid of the Tag Team division due to not pushing any duos and not hyping up any tag matches. Now I'm thinking that if the WWE wants to make the Tag Team Division a more popular area, bringing back the Hardys wouldn't be such a bad idea.

People still love both Matt and Jeff Hardy, and if they were to make a rivalry with The Miz and Morrison and have them win the title, then it would start to get peoples attention onto the Tag Team scene.

Maybe also bring back some tag teams like The Undertaker and Kane, or maybe even bring The Big Show back into tag team action, since he's not doing much on Smackdown currently, and I just don't see a feud with him and the Champ (CM Punk) due to their majorly different styles.

Also The Big Show's popularity has been down as of late, mostly because he took his break when he was pretty popular and he's somewhat of a heel now.

Anyways, if the WWE were to get tag matches like The Hardy Boyz vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick then that would be an amazing match to watch. Maybe they could get some Jesse & Festus vs. Kane and The Undertaker.

I think bringing up some vintage Tag Teams would be a good move for the WWE. Also get some new ones going. Maybe a good team would be Evan Bourne and Super Crazy now that they’re both on ECW, maybe Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke, or even Santino Marella and Nunzio with maybe some wrestling but a little comedy with it.

All and all I think it would be a great idea for the WWE to bring tag team wrestling back into it’s primitive form, and to allow it to be as popular as it has been in years past.

  1. I had a wildly unpopular plan (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/31001-wwe-a-plan-to-energize-raw-smackdown-and-ecw)
that would have put all the top stars on Raw and devoted Smackdown to tag teams and cruiserweights.

I like your idea in a way, but rather than putting the Hardyz and UT/Kane together yet again, let Morrison and Miz run with the ball as the top tag team in the WWE. They are dynamite.

I like the idea of putting Santino and Nunzio together. I think Chavo and Bam Neely should compete as a team, and I think they should also put Paul London and Lance Cade together.

If you want to put old teams together, how about Yang and Noble (Jung Dragons) and Helms and Moore (3 Count)?

    1. since he's still in the business, super crazy and juventud guerrera.

  2. Big Show wouldn't challenge for Cm Punk's title anyways. He is on Smackdpwn and CM Punk is on Raw. London and Kendricks tag team is also over, Kendrick has a new "Bad Boy" gimick going on.

    1. But, I would like to see to see more newer tag teams than old attitude ear ones. That might improve the WWE stag team divison.

    2. yeah is Kendrick supposed to be gay now? I'm confused with that weird jacket...

  3. The problem is WWE writers have this need to break up tag teams and stables constantly these days. There have been a few good teams like MNM and London and Kendrick, but the WWE always breaks them up.

The tag team titles are just extra belts for singles wrestlers to hold because they like to promote individuals, and not teams.

    1. Is it just me or are more and more wrestlers losing jobs due to these bone headed writers "not having anything for them".

Ughhh then write somthing I thought that was what we paid the writers for, the wrestlers are wrestling fine, but if the writers can't come up with a stupied gimmik we have to can a perfectly good entertainer.

The wrestlers are doing thier job, but they depend on the writers to keep them afloat. If the writers have no ideas, they lose the guy(In most cases).

  4. With Matt Hardy dropping the United States Title...this might be exactly what the WWE is thinking... or maybe he is going to make a run at Henry's title.

    1. That's exactly what they're doing. Unless Matt did something bad I don't see any other reason why they just suddenly added it to the card.

I'm happy Sheldon got it anyway. They haven't used him and his athleticism like they should.

    2. I'm thinking the latter.

  5. Yeah, if you watched ECW closely...there were TONS of Hardyz signs.... Tag Team Hardyz = Marketing Megabucks

  6. also... a HHH Hardyz vs. Edge, Ryder, Hawkins would be a good feud. Edge can do for Ryder and Hawkins did for himself and Christian years ago

  7. The problem with the Tag Team division is that all the superstars that are brought in are usually brought in for solo competition. We don't have any teams that are brought in as duos. The only good tag team right now besides Miz and Morrison are Cryme Tyme on Raw.

If the WWE was to bring back the Tag Team division, I think they would need to make it a multi-brand division. Take both Tag Title Belts and combine them into one overall belt. That way, you may see Cryme Tyme on ECW competing against Miz and Morrison, or vice versa.

And it seems tag teams only occur when two superstars are still somewhat popular but yet not needed in any plotline.
