LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 31: Former team mates Gerard Pique (L) of Barcelona and Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal hug each other following their teams' 2-2 draw in the UEFA Champions League quarter final first leg match between Arsenal and FC Barcelona at the Emirates Stadium on March 31, 2010 in London, England. Sheer talent, vision and competitive nature of this midfielder saw him climbing the ladder so fast that just at the age of 22 he’s considered one of the best midfielders on the planet but the millions of his fans like me might not be able to see him playing for Arsenal the one last time. In fact he has already played his last match if we take the recent news seriously against the club who is going to steal him away from us.  Yeah Cesc Fabregas, the household name in England and certainly in Spain is the captain and the leader of the current Arsenal team who is beaming with talent and have enough quality and technical ability to beat any team on the planet on its day. But this is not been the story this season in fact from last 3 seasons its absolute poetry for Arsenal and if Wenger don’t do something soon, he might lose his prized asset sooner then he thought.

He has been heavily linked to Barcelona since he came to North London where he once belonged and where he played in the youth team with the likes of Messi and Pique and i think media has done its job in terms of unsettling the player. Media’s main purpose is to sell their stories with spices and rarely any one believes on them unless someone who has no knowledge of the beautiful game whatsoever or just plain dumb. It’s been the case this season too when Cesc was heavily linked with Barcelona but he denied every rumour and showed his loyalty to Arsenal in front of the media by denying every link and showing his class on the field and kissing the Arsenal badge.

After all that i certainly believed that he will stay but recently he admitted that he’s not sure about his future with Arsenal and will consider his options. As he said yesterday “I want to make a decision about my future before the start of the World Cup. It's impossible to perform at a tournament like the World Cup if you're not fully focused on the sporting aspects of the game. I don't want to be distracted by transfer talk.

This statement is as shocking as it gets and in my point of view certainly it was unnecessary. Instead of saying all that he just could have said, i am staying at Arsenal next season or it could have been said in different tendency but certainly the feel of this statement is that he wants to move out from Arsenal. On top of that, the statement of Arsenal F.C’s chairman does not help either when he said “he won’t even get into the Barcelona first team” which as well give him a motivation to prove himself in the Barcelona first team. I think as bitter as this statement sounds there is still some truth in it because even in the presence of Iniesta and Xavi he surely will get some time to play but not as much as he gets in Arsenal, at least not for 2 more seasons.

Personally if he leaves this summer i won’t blame him because he’s just wasting his youth with the team who as it stands certainly cannot challenge the big guns in its own league and if the trend continues as it is then i see Robin Van Persie too out from emirates at the end of the next season. At the end of the day, i hope he makes his decision carefully and choose the right country for him to perform at the highest level.
