Pro Wrestling Top 25: All-American Tyranny
After a monumental week that saw the McMahons promise repercussions on RAW, an Champion on a rampage on ECW, several TNA superstars on a rampage on IMPACT!, and a well known wedding crasher living up to his reputation on SmackDown!, it's now time to unveil a new batch of rankings.
And since the fans haven't stepped up, it's the writers who are stepping up this time. We're going to have a little fun with this one. Here's the Top 25.
1) Matt Hardy (ECW, LW: #1)

The United States Champion had a busy week, as he reunited with his brother on ECW to defeat The Dirt Sheet, and then faced his brother on SmackDown! thanks to the power couple of Edge and Vickie. Hardy will defend his U.S. belt at the Great American Bash this Sunday against Shelton Benjamin.
2) John Morrison (ECW, LW: #2)
The Tuesday Night Delight suffered another defeat on ECW, but the streak was broken as the Tag Champs picked up a victory on SmackDown! But they still have a Fatal Four Way for the gold at The Bash to look forward to.
3) The Miz (ECW, LW: #3)
The self proclaimed Chick Magnet couldn't save his hide on Tuesday, but he did manage to beat Jesse on SmackDown! to pick up some much needed momentum for the Tag Champs going into the Fatal Four Way at the GAB.
4) Kaz (TNA, LW: Unranked)
Kaz became a man on a mission after costing Team TNA the World X Cup. But after getting screwed out of the X Division Championship this past Thursday, I believe this may have been the breaking point for TNA's Ultimate Underdog.
5) Triple H (SmackDown!, LW: #13)
The Game saved SmackDown! last night by exposing Edge's "Opportunist" ways to Vickie and the world. Now he is officially set to face The Rated R Superstar this Sunday and finish off the wedding crashing he started last night on SD!
6) Edge (SmackDown!, LW: #5)
The Opportunist married the love of his life, decimated old foes and Finswoggle, pledged his love for Vickie...then got caught tongue wrestling the wedding planner. Oh, did we mention he has a WWE Championship Match this Sunday against Triple H?
7) John Cena (RAW, LW: #6)
The Chain Gang Commander got more fuel for his fire, as he almost got decapitated by JBL on RAW. Expect Cena to raise plenty of hell at The NYC Parking Lot Brawl this Sunday. I smell blood in the water.
8) C.M. Punk (RAW, LW: #7)
Punk proved he was legit this past Monday by surviving Kane, but he didn't survive a spinebuster from Batista, who is gunning for the World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday.
9) Kane (RAW, LW: #8)
The Big Red Machine continued his transformation into the Big Red Monster this past Monday. But either way, Kane still has to answer the question of who "HE" is, and we may be closer to an answer than most think.
10) Kofi Kingston (RAW, LW: #10)
The Jamaican Sensation continued his winning ways, and got some payback in the process as he beat Paul Burchill to retain the Intercontinental Championship. He may have also found an ally in Women's Champion Mickie James.
11) Batista (RAW, LW: #4)
The Animal took a breather this past Monday, but he did contribute to the anarchy of RAW as he speared Kane followed by a chair shot to the Monster and a spinebuster to his opponent at the Bash, C.M. Punk.
12) Finlay (ECW, LW: #11)
The Fighting Irish got the shaft thanks to La Familia, as Hawkins and Ryder got some momentum heading into the Fatal Four Way match for the WWE Tag Team Championships at the Bash.
13) Hornswoggle (ECW, LW: #12)
Not even Finlay's offspring could save him from a devastating spear by Edge last night. But expect some payback in his mind this Sunday when the gold is on the line.
14) Motor City Machine Guns (TNA, LW: #19)
The boys from Detroit gave Team TNA the victory in the Elimination Match, but couldn't stop Kaz from costing TNA the World X Cup in the end. Next week, they'll be facing Beer Money in a Strap Match on IMPACT!
15) Mark Henry (ECW, LW: #9)
The World's Strongest Champion may have Tony Atlas in his corner, but that isn't enough to remain in the Top 10. He might want to focus on Tommy Dreamer and their date at the Bash for the ECW Championship.
16) Jacqueline (TNA, LW: #23)
The only reason Beer Money has been successful is because of the Pride of Tennessee. Unfortunately for her, she had no help as she was eliminated this past Thursday in the Knockouts Gauntlet.
17) Jeff Hardy (SmackDown!, LW: #17)
The high flyer got some miles cashed in as he helped his brother beat the WWE Tag Champs on ECW only to get pummeled by La Familia on SmackDown! for tossing the cake at Chavo Guerrero.
18) Cryme Tyme (RAW, LW: Unranked)
Ever since Martial Law was declared, this tag team has stepped up in Brooklyn Style fashion. It's only a matter of time before Shad and JTG are wearing Tag Team Gold. Be on the lookout, Team Priceless.
19) Shelton Benjamin (SmackDown!, LW: #16)
The Gold Standard got punked out by The Big Show in their handicap match, but he is more focused on wearing the United States Championship than doing the dirty work of Edge and Vickie.
20) Mickie James (RAW, LW: #15)
The Women's Champion took care of Katie Lea in their match. Then she stuck around to help Kofi Kingston defeat Katie's brother. Sounds like a good night to be Mickie James.
21) Taylor Wilde (TNA, LW: #18)
The newest Knockout survived her second onslaught from Awesome Kong at Victory Road thanks to Abyss. This Thursday, she has to deal with the likes of The Beautiful People if she wants to remain TNA Knockouts Champion.
22) Big Show (SmackDown!, LW: #24)
After crashing the first dance, Big Show got crashed to the ground thanks to Kozlov, Khali, Shelton and MVP as punishment for last week's main event. The big man will be looking for payback...and it might come Sunday.
23) Kennedy (SmackDown!, LW: Unranked)
The Green Bay Loudmouth has quickly become a fan favorite back on SmackDown! I'm sure that his next target will be MVP after Porter ran interference last week for Umaga.
24) Beth Phoenix (RAW, LW: Unranked)
The Glamazon deserved her spot in the Top 25 after her performance last week. In arguably the funniest moments on RAW, Phoenix defeated Santino and obviously sent a message to Natalya on SmackDown!: You're next.
25) Samoa Joe (TNA, LW: Unranked)
The TNA World Champion got ambushed by Sting at Victory Road, but took out his aggressions on Booker T at the end of IMPACT! With a match set for Hard Justice, expect Joe to still have The Icon in his crosshairs.
