You can't truly believe that Pedroia is better than Brian Roberts. Roberts is not far behind Pedroia in those categories, and Dustin's runs batted in are helped by his supporting cast. Roberts leads the league in triples and is second in doubles (very far ahead of Pedroia in those) and he has three times as many stolen bases (27-9). And their defense is debateable, but in my own opinion Roberts has been better. Also, Jeremy Guthrie is in the major league leaders in quality starts, he just has putrid run-support. With decent runs behind him, he could easily have 13 wins. And his ERA is better than Mussina and Shields and his WHIP is better than Mussina I believe. Except for those two major discrepencies, good article. I agree with the other positions. Nice job.

I agree with your Roberts statement, I just looked over their stats again.
Guthrie has the same WHIP and higher ERA than Mussina.
Shields' 104-24 K:BB ratio is a lot better than Guthrie's 88-39.

Only three Rays?

The Rays are good. Others are just better.
Longoria is clearly not better than A-Rod.
And, Crawford is being outshined by the three outfielders I have.
Who would you suggest?

Oh I'm sorry that is my mistake about Guthrie and the ERA/WHIP. I guess I'm just a little biased because the Orioles are my favorite team. Again, I apologize for my misinformed satement
