From my own humble opinion, I pretty think the Olympic blood testing that floyd employed in his fight with Mosley, have somehow affected Shane’s system. I mean, Mosley even admitted that he was so tight and can’t even execute his fighting plan during the process.
That was precisely the fact why Pacquiao do not come to an agreement with the style of drug testing that Floyd is pushing for the fight. To experts, try to inquire this matter. The blood Testing really affected not only Mosley but including Floyd.
Try to watch the tape again. Mayweather showed a sluggish footwork that night where even some boxing commentators have noticed it. Pacquiao have consistently differed the insinuation of Mayweather’s camp for the imposition of the Olympic drug testing that Pacquiao should undergo.
Mayweather made bold statement that there will be no fight if Pacquiao will not subject himself for the type of drug testing something which left the millions of boxing fans to discredit him on his claim to be the greatest of all time and that he is afraid of the Filipino champion.
Pacquiao made it clear that he will only follow on the procedures of the drug test subsequently on what the athletic commission overseeing the fight will recommend and he welcomed any ratification that the commission will impose on its present rules on drug test. The statement that Pacquiao made was a gesture of a true professional boxer. In the case of Mayweather, he is trying to portray that he is the face of boxing and due to he wanted to imply his own rules and regulations which are very irrelevant.
But Mayweather is a wise boxer. He is successful so far in his approach in using the said issue to avoid the fight with Manny whom he truly afraid of.
Last week fight, Mosley showed that he is not the usual Mosley. No more hand speed, no more fierce combinations, no more lateral and Side to side movements. So again, I repeat no more the usual Mosley.
Mosley should be thankful that he has Floyd that night, because if he had Pacquiao that bout, it will be a whole different story. I’ll bet, he'll kiss the canvass in the 8Th round.
