It doesn't take a lot to capture the attention of football fans.
A nice play here, a nice play there, and in the next instant, the player is being discussed like a blockbuster movie.
Tim Tebow, however, has an allure that has only been matched by one man in the past 10 years: Brett Favre.
The two have a lot in common: they have both been successful, both are very confident, and both make the ladies swoon.
Throw in the fact that Tebow is left-handed and a religious man, and you have one heck of a media frenzy.
"I got a lot to go do and I got to go improve," said Tebow. "So, it's not time to daydream right now."
Although Tebow might not be dreaming, fans of the Denver Broncos are. They haven't seen a quarterback this hyped since John Elway.
And although Elway led the Broncos to two Super Bowls, there's another Super Bowl-winning quarterback who is more like Tebow in regards to how much the media loves him.
That man, as previously mentioned, is Favre.
For every "is he coming back?" question with Favre, there have been just as many "can he be a NFL quarterback?" questions for Tebow. For every jaw-dropping moment Favre provided in the pros, Tebow has provided at the collegiate level.
For every pair of Wranglers...well, somebody get Lee on the phone, will you?
The point is, Tim Tebow and Brett Favre are more alike than one may imagine, and if Favre decides to retire, all eyes will truly be on the Heisman-winning youngster.
There is also a lot that Tebow can learn from the career of Brett Favre.
The main lesson Tebow can learn from Favre in the beginning of his career is that bad starts don't translate to a bad career. Brett Favre's first pass in a regular season NFL game was an INT for a TD. Tebow will probably struggle in the early stages of his career. However, if he keeps a positive attitude, he can become a solid player.
If his football career has taught us anything, whether it be his pledge after a loss to Ole Miss in 2008, or the changing of his throwing motion for NFL scouts, it's this:
Don't bet against Tim Tebow.
