Is Joel The Next Jack?

No questions asked, Jack Nicholson is the most recognized NBA fan of all time. We'd say you'd be hard pressed to watch a Lakers Game and not see him in-and-out of his seat, wearing a plum-purple shirt and signature Ray-Ban sunglasses, with arms crossed.

Jack's been a Los Angeles Lakers season ticket holder for over three decades, and remains so dedicated to the team, he has Laker Games written into his movie contracts.

Jack has the best seat in the house, with a court side view that nobody on planet Earth can touch. A conversation with Kobe, or instigating a rousing argument with an NBA ref is all in a Tuesday night.

Like a Republican in Idaho, Jack's seat remains safe, however there's a new fabu-fan celebrity vying his coveted title. A new competition of sorts, producer/director, Joel Silver.

Silver tells Glam Girls Guide to Sports at Lamar Odom's Kitson launch, "I want to be the next Jack. The biggest Laker fan in the entire world."

Joel Silver is the golden film God of the 90's, and has produced famed films such as Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Matrix, Swordfish. Ever known for a flamboyant attire and personality, it's not a rare occasion to see Silver donning the signature Laker colors, purple and yellow.

Joel Silver has already made honorable mention to the number-one ranked Jack Nicholson as "top celebrity sports fan of all-time" according to NBA.com.

Silver told Glam Girls that he not only dresses top to bottom Laker Couture, his wife plans to wear Lamar Odom's ladies line upon it's unveiling. While he keeps his eye on a non-vacant seat, we're sure Joel Silver's courtside view is not too shabby either. A friendly competition from another court angle keeps the glittery fabulous, drama-filled Staples Center ever more intriguing.
