Beth and Michelle: ''Oh, What a Match They Had, At Extreme Rules''

What's up Bleaches? ''Time is slowly strolling by; so let's bleach it!''

This past Sunday, WWE hosted it's fourth pay-per-view of the year so far: WWE Extreme Rules.

On this night, we saw the legendary Bret ''The Hitman'' Hart accompany The Hart Dynasty on their journey to tag team gold, when they defeated Show-Miz to earn a shot at the Unified tag team titles on the next episode of Monday Night Raw.

We witnessed the brutal, vicious and violent attack on Triple H by Sheamus, that would lead to The Celtic Warrior's victory over The Game, in a Street Fight.

We saw ''The All-American American,'' Jack Swagger, get one of the biggest rubs of his career,Ā defeating ''The Viper'' Randy Orton in a Extreme Rules match to retain his World Title, fair and square, in the middle of the ring.

John ''SUPERMAN'' Cena once again defeated ''The Animal'' Batista and retained his WWE title in a Last Man Standing Match. C.M. Punk finally got a win over Rey Mysterio and retained his hair with the help of the soon-to-be-announced new member of the Straight Edge Society. Edge defeated ''The Narsasist,'' Chris Jericho, in a Steel Cage match, and JTG defeated his former tag team partner, Shad Gaspard, in a strap match.

We saw all of that, butĀ the match that surprised me the most was the Extreme Makeover match, for the Women's Championship, pitting Beth Phoenix against Michelle McCool.

When I heard the name of the stipulation, I honestly thought that I was gonna see a stupid and horrendous match, that would only disrespect and further bury the Divas more, only made to humour us. But instead I was treated to a match which really reinforced why I love Beth and McCool so much.

The match was indeed Extreme, and it had excitement from start to finish. The flip Beth did off the top rope, into a pinning predicament, was just priceless, and all the props they brought into the match were used to perfection. The crowd was thoroughly into the match, and the surprising the physicality of both Divas was just heavenly to see.

That match has got to be one of the greatest Diva matches I have ever seen, as both Divas really brought their "A" game on Sunday.

I just hope that WWE willĀ allow the Divas shine like this all the time and really give them more time to show what they can really do in the ring.

All comments are welcome.
