Sleepers Post Rookie Draft
Things change after a draft; players are traded, released, and signed which has a great impact on potential sleepers for 2010.
I would like to take a look at sleepers at all positions: QB, RB, WR, and TE.
Jason CampbellĀ - nobody's stock rose more post draft than Jason Campbell heading to the Raiders. He went from fantasy junk to fantasy relevant. People would be shocked to know that Campbell was a top 15 QB in fantasy leagues last year. He has just as many weapons in Oakland as he did in Washington. Zach Miller, Heyward-Bey and Chaz Schilens (to be discussed). Campbell has solid upside in 2010.
Chad HenneĀ - Brandon Marshall boosts the value of Henne in Miami. Henne posted solid numbers at the end of run of 2010 and you can expect further upside now that he has additional WR threats. Henne will fall late in drafts and is one of the best back-up QB's you can draft in 2010.
LenDale WhiteĀ - The TD vulture is back and reunited with his old USC coach. You better believe he will be used in 2010 and will fall very late in fantasy drafts. Circle him on your draft guide as you can expect double digit TD's in 2010.
Ben TateĀ - Texans new rookie is going to share the initial workload with Slaton and Foster, but will be the lead RB in Houston for 2010 by seasons end. I love the pick for dynasty leaguers and you better believe he won't be on too many radars.
Chaz SchilensĀ - Going to be extremely fantasy relevant in 2010. He made a solid run at the end of 2010 so one can only imagine how great he will do with a real QB. He will sniff at 1,000 yards total and 6 TD's which makes him a solid late round back-up WR.
Devin AromashoduĀ - You are going to read this here first and it probably won't be posted anywhere else, but I am calling Aromashodu a top 15 WR by the end of 2010. He will go late in drafts and Martz is raving about this kid. He will emerge as the WR1 in Chicago which I have zero doubts about. Enjoy this late round pick; when your friends laugh at the pick you can laugh back at them come year end when you have a top WR.
Rob GronkowskiĀ - Ben Graham out, new young TE in; Rob is a solid TE with great hands and a QB that loves to throw which is a recipe for fantasy sleeper in my book of tricks. Dynasty owners need to pounce on this rookie.
Stay tuned for future sleeper articles...
