Newsflash: Lito Sheppard Hires Drew Rosenhaus in Dealings with the Eagles
When the news broke early yesterday morning, it brought back bad memories of the 2005 season.Ā
Yet another successful Eagles player unhappy with his contract situation had hired infamous high-profile agent Drew Rosehausāyes, the same one who helped crybaby T.O. leave the team in 2005āexcept this time it was Lito Sheppard complaining and creating the buzz around Philadelphia.Ā
The newly hired Rosenhaus only added to the deja-vu like conversation.
The upshot of it all?Ā If sources are correct, it's nothing to worry about.
Rosenhaus met with vice president of player personnel Howie Roseman and team president Joe Banner earlier today.Ā According to a team source, it was a "relatively positive conversation".Ā Additionally, the word is that Sheppard will be attending training camp this upcoming week, a huge relief for Eagles fans.Ā
Overall, Rosenhaus tried to keep things low key and optimistic.
"I'm trying to keep somewhat of a low profile. We're going to keep everything real positive. I've had a lot of positive dealings with the team recently. I'm confident that we're going to find a mutually beneficial solution to this situation and we expect things to move in a positive direction."
While there is still a chance that Sheppard could be traded before the start of the season, things may be starting to look up.Ā

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap šø
If he manages to start at least 15 games at CB this season, his trade value would go up dramatically from last season, when teams refused exchanges proposed by the Eagles involving Lito Sheppard for a high first round or low second round draft pick.Ā
However, no team would accept it because Lito Sheppard is considered to be too injury-prone.
If Sheppard plays his hardest this season, he will not only contribute to his prospective trade value, but he would also play a huge part in the Eagles' dynamic defense.
Let's just hope that Rosenhaus sticks to his word and doesn't mess things up again!
