Boxing Binman Rendall Munroe Wins World Title Shot
European super-bantamweight champion Rendall Munroe has earned a world title shot by stopping Victor Terrazas in Coventry, England.
Munroe, who works as a trash collector away from the ring, started slowly in the WBC title eliminator before coming on strong to halt the Mexican in the ninth round.
Despite a four-day journey from Guadalajara to England, Terrazas showed no ill effects of the marathon trip as he settled down early.

But Munroe, 28, began to take control in the sixth and Terrazas faded quickly.
A left hand to the body sent Terrazas to the canvas a minute into the ninth round and John Keats waved the fight off despite the Mexican beating the count.
Munroe, who is now expected to face WBC champion Toshiaki Nishioka, told Sky Sports afterwards: āIt was brilliant. With my team around me we've been working on a few things. I always said it was my childhood dream to go and be a world champion.
"They said to me before the fight I had to go out there and win in styleāand I did that and showed the Mexican how to fight.
"That was the plan, everyone knows I'm like a steam train, you just have to chuck a bit of coal in me but once I'm going I'm chugging right on through."
Promoter Frank Maloney, who vowed to do his best to ensure the title fight takes place on UK soil, added his praise for Munroe, telling Sky Sports: "This is the story of a real fighting hero that's come up the hard way; Midland area, British, Commonwealth, European and now world title.
"This is what boxing is all aboutāhe's a credit to the sport."
