2010 NFL Regular Season Schedule: Can the Cleveland Browns Start Off 2-0?
It's been a full day since the official 2010 NFL regular season schedule has been released, and after further analysis, I'm very surprised that no one has said this yet.
The Cleveland Browns could easily start off the new season with a record of 2-0.
With their first game of the new season in Tampa against the Buccaneers, who are also a team in the middle of rebuilding, the Browns could walk into that stadium with a pirate ship, and walk out with victory No. 1 of the new season.

Coming off of a four-game winning streak at the end of the 2009 season, that would give the Browns a five-game winning streakāthe longest that many fans can remember.
The next week is the Browns' home opener against their second rebuilding team in as many weeks, when the Kansas City Chiefs coming into town.
Since the Browns are, in my opinion, a half or full step ahead of the Chiefs in the rebuilding process, this game may be victory No. 2 in 2010.
That means the Browns would be on a six-game winning streak going back to the regular season in 2009.
Is this all optimistic speculation?
Of course it is, but there is a better than average chance that the 2010 Browns could be 2-0, and either leading or tied for the AFC North lead after two weeks.
After the Chiefs leave town, the Browns travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens, and this game could be a battle of two undefeated teams if the Ravens start off 2-0 as well.
Obviously the Ravens have the upper hand in talent, but as the saying goes, "Anything can happen on any given Sunday."
If the Browns can pull off an upset, then they will indeed be the favorites to be the 2010 Cinderella team, as they once were back in 2007.
Whether any of this happens or not, at least it's nice to know that NFL schedule makers were feeling extra nice to the Browns and their fans to give them two weeks of winnable games to open the new season.
