Sergio Aguero Interested In Chelsea Move, But Will He Be Worth?

Maxx GApr 20, 2010

Chelsea FC has been linked with the transfer of Sergio 'Kun' Aguero as the prime player topping the Blues' summer transfer list.

Aguero derived his nickname Kun, after his grandparents found his similarity with the anime character Kun Kun and thus the talented one is better known as Kun Aguero to his club Athletico D Madrid and also to the rest of the world.

The Argentine forward made his debut for the first division national team at the age of only 15 and has been a prolific strikeforce for his club at the Spanish league. He is also the scorer of the 2-2 result against Chelsea in 2009-10 Champions League match.

Paired up at the front with his teammate Forlan, this naturally talented star has been a clinical finisher of the ball and can also play as an attacking midfielder. Known for his extreme dribbling ability and superb ball control, he has the potential to terrorize any defense.

Coming to Chelsea, Roman Abramovic is said to put £100m as a transfer budget in the hands of the manager Ancelotti and Ageuro will be the prime target for the Manager this summer.

The aging and not-like-before performance of the Chelsea forward Nicolas Anelka can soon be replaced with the energy and skills of the young Argentine forward who will eventually pair up with the Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Aguero has recently showed his interest in moving over to Chelsea as he said that he would be happy to play with talented ones like Drogba and Lampard and it will be great for him to learn from them. He was also quoted saying that his family would be happy to live in London if he moves to Chelsea.

The high praises for the Chelsea players by Aguero somewhat indicate his clear intentions of joining the Blues this summer, if everything works out fine.

Once he finishes his time with Ros Rojiblancos, he will be a prime subject of the bidding war from the biggest European clubs and will have a transfer fee of around £45m. The price was set last season only, when he was about to join the Blues but the negotiations were left undone.

However, some doubts still remain in the air. The Spanish football is never equal to the English one, while the latter is faster and physical than the former. Aguero is brilliant in his skills, but at just 5ft 7" will the 21 year old survive in the EPL?

The failure of the former Milan forward Sevchenko at Stamford Bridge further raises the question about the transfer of Aguero. A £45m tag is too heavy one, and the investment thus needs to be much more studied and analysed before going for the final call.

Or should Chelsea go for someone tougher and harder like Edin Dzeko? Or some experienced boots like David Villa from Valencia?

The son-in-law of the former superstar Diego Maradona will be playing for his national team this summer in the World Cup and it will speak a lot of things for the player. Hope we will be seeing the making of the next big superstar.
