Three Things That Arsenal Needs Besides Arsene Wenger

Arsenal has murdered itself, rather committed a suicide, when it was on the way to finally steal the show with the silverware. The defeat to Wigan Athletic was a nail on the grave of the Gunners and their manager Arsene Wenger.

After thinking a lot about what Arsenal is missing badly at the moment, I came up with three options. You are viewing this piece at your own responsibility!

1. A Babysitter

A babysitter is a person who takes care of the child or children when parents are out of home, especially on weekends.

The EPL matches are most of times held in weekends and it is now crystal clear that the Gunners are running a squad of immature players who are also "one-day-I-can-be-Pele-but-don't-know-when" type ones.

Barring a few good and talented players like Fabregas, Robin Van Persie, and Vermaelen, all the others are just too small a bud to be a flower recently. So until they grow up, Wenger needs to appoint a babysitter for his babies/kids, for the proper care and nourishment of them. 

Special care should be given to infants like Vela, Walcott, and Denilson.

And Wenger must not look for cheaper options, or appoint young ones to babysit, rather appoint professionals with bit more money!

2. A Nurse

A nurse is a healthcare professional who, in collaboration with other members of a health care team, is responsible for the treatment, safety, and recovery of ill individuals.

Arsenal's talented bright young team has been suffering from injuries all the season which has been one of the major reasons for the downfall of Arsenal in the last steps of the silverware ladder.

First RVP, then Ramsey, then the others, and with the whole out-of-season ones like Djourou, it has been an injury-full team of the Gunners throughout the season. Arsenal really deserves a standing ovation for where they are today despite the injuries they have gone through.

But in spite of all this, the Gunners are just becoming too weak to stand up to the physical toughness of the EPL. Seems like the team physicians are not working up to the standards.

A perfect solution will be a multiple good nurses-cum-physicians who will be taking care of the injured ones who can get well well soon and perform on the pitch.

However, the nurses should not be too distracting.

3. A Mental Health Counselor

This is perhaps the most needed personnel for Arsenal.

Mental health counselors (MHCs) practice mental health counseling which is a dynamic and psycho-educational discipline. MHCs work with individuals, families, or even with groups to address and treat emotional and unstable mental states to promote mental health.

Arsenal has every-time, time and again, showed its strange fall from the title race after chasing it with the champions. This time also was not a different picture and the same heartbreak for the Gooners.

They have not seen the face of the silverware since 2003-04, and the drought of the silverware less Gunners has continued since then.

Termed as the "chokers" for this sudden losses near the end of the road, Arsenal has been quite unsuccessful and under-performing when it came to big games this season, be it the EPL or the CL.

What I feel is that they are lacking a strong nerve at the end, which was needed to earn them the title. The nerves of steel are not born in a day, but through the continuous up-gradation and dynamic mental simulation process by the manager.

While Wenger has been unsuccessful at this front of improving the team's morale, Arsenal needs a MHC to boost up the team mentality and get a strong mindset to focus and win the game.

This ends my list and you can always add-on if you want some, most welcome.

At the end of the story, you may be annoyed with me, but all I want to say is that I love EPL and I like Arsenal. So, when a team comes this close to winning the title and then fails by its own mistakes, ironies are perhaps certain. On a serious note, I would like not to see Wenger again if the next season also turns to be the same.
