The Perfect Oakland Raider Draft That We All Want

I have been reading everyones mock drafts for sometime now. Some of them make alot of sense and some are just plane insane. I have two perfect mock draft scenarios that probable wont happen but it would lead the raider nation back to the top of the AFC WEST......Here we go:

 MOCK DRAFT ONE

1st round: QB Jimmey Clausen

I know most people are againstn another quaterback when we just drafted Jamarcus Russel not to long ago. I havent given up on Jarmarcus but we cant assume that this will be his year i have been saying that for along time now. we do not have a first round draft pick next year due to the seymore trade. if we give jamarcus one more shot and he blows it that leaves the franchise trying to trade for an elite quarterback which will not happen. if Jimmey Clausen is the better player cut Russel. I have watched alot of tape on Clausen he will be an elite player at the next level. He has the arm for the Raiders deep ball sytem and the mobility to scramble if the offensive line gives in. his touchdown interception ratio was fantastic. we need to draft Clausen for the future and hopefully for right now

2nd round: TRADE FOR LT Gaither

He is one of the best tackles in the game. they say he has a bad work ethic, sooo what he only has given up 7 sacks in the past two years i believe. Gaither would be a major upgrade to the Raiders offensive line. we then could move Henderson to the right side. in later rounds we need to adress the right guard and center position.

3rd round: DT Cam Thomas

Cam Thomas would upgrade our defensive line. We release our starting nose tackle and Thomas would fill that void. he will do a better job because he is more mobile than Warren. 

4th round: OG Zane Beadles

I feel instead of drafting a guard in round four we should sign free agent Shawn Andrews. He was a pro bowler and he is still very young. but that most likely wont happen. we have a huge whole at the right guard position, and pick would be an upgrade now i do not know much about the right guards in this draft but I know we need someone to fill the role

5th round: CB Crezdon Butler

 If we sign shawn Andrews we could use pick four on the best cornerback but since that wont happen we pick the best cornerback here. Butler has the size and speed to be a very good cornerback in the league. We cv an plug him in as the nickle corner on day one. Give him a year to learn from the best cornerback in the league and he could easily past Chris Johnson on the depth chart.

MOCK DRAFT 2

1st round: Trade the 8th pick to the Giants for Osi Umenyiora and there first round pick 15th (OG Mike Iupati)

By not drafting a quaterback in the first round we need to prey that Russel can get it together this year. Osi has already gave the Giants problems telling them that he needed to be a starter and if he wasnt he wanted to be traded. In oakland he would be a guaranteed starter. Bringing in Osi allows us to bump seymore inside and we have pure speed coming from the edges with osi and matt and power coming from the middle with seymore and kelly. -Anthony Davis would also be an upgrade to our line. he is rated by some the best tackle in the draft

2nd round: Trade for LT Gaither

This makes too much since. if we choose not to get another quaterback we have to protect Russel. Having Gaither and Henderson at the tackles and Iupati and Gallery at the guards and a upgrade at center that completes our line. It will protect our millon dollar investments. not only will it help Jamarcus stop fumbling and throwing the ball wild it will help Mcfadden have a break out year like we all know he can.

3rd round: LB randon Spikes

Brandon Spikes fits the description as a Raiders player. I feel that he caneasily out play Chaney for the middle linebacker position. he is a beast and could easily be a second round prospect if it wasnt for his character issues. Spikes can be placed in at the middle linebacker position day one. He is versatile and it will allow us to move Kirk Morrison to the outside linebacker position where he can be used more effectivley. Howard Spikes and Morrison will be a fierce group. they have the speed and power to dominate in both the run and passing game. I also love Trevor Scott he played real well at the end of the season. either he takes someone position or be a great sub for the starters.

4th round: OC Matt Tennant

Our center position needs to be upgraded. Samson didnt play as well as we thought and eventually was benched for Morris. unfortunately both of those players are not the answer to the offensive line. Tennant can come in and be a day one starter.

5th round: OG Mike Johnson

Offensive guard needs depth and Mike Johnson can bring that. He can be a good rotational player and bolster our offensive line
