Will Manchester United's Wayne Rooney Go to Real Madrid For Record Fee?
La Liga colossus Real Madrid are planning a summer move for England and Manchester United superstar Wayne Rooney for a fee that could be even greater than the one which saw Cristiano Ronaldo make the switch from Old Trafford to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Galácticos are reportedly set to offer United £150 million for Rooney, giving the Fabio Capello and Sir Alex Ferguson favourite a whopping £250,000 a week.
Oh, and speaking of Fabio Capello, yeah, Real Madrid want him as well, especially considering the Italian said he will definitely leave the England post after telling journalists, "I like new situations. I won't close any door."
Anyway, don't take my word for it that Rooney will re-unite with Ronaldo in a Madrid juggernaut that will blow away Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona.
UK tabloid newspaper The Sun, famed for its brilliant and superb accuracies on such speculation, have released a World Exclusive saying the exact same thing.
Florentino Perez has a record of getting his man, as Manchester United will of course testify. After all, they lost the aforementioned Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as David Beckham, to Madrid.
Also, Wayne Rooney is in the form of his life with 34 goals this season, and unbelievably, he has still not committed to a new United contract, despite only having two years left on his current deal!
Therefore, this will mean Real Madrid will sign him this summer for £150 million to a wage deal worth £60 million over five years.
So there you are folks, you've read it here first. Real Madrid are going to sign Wayne Rooney this summer after he wins the World Cup for England.
