Do the Titans really need a DE?

For almost every mock draft I read, it's pointing to either Jason Pierre Paul or Derrick Morgan getting drafted to the Titans. In my opinion, I don't think we need a DE, I believe we have the young players in William Hayes and Jacob Ford who should be putting up the right numbers next season. Jason Babin and Marcus Howard was brought in for depth and compete with Dave Ball and Eric Bakhtiari for backups spots. The Titans use all 4 D-Lineman to rush the pass, not just the 2 D-Ends.

William Hayes is going into his 3rd year and made 11 starts last year. Last Season he had 51 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 23 qb pressures. Jacob Ford had 22 tackles, 5.5 sacks(led the team) and 15 qb pressures despite not having a start and backing up KVB.  KVB posted just 44 tackles and 3 sacks and 20 qb pressures while starting 16 games, weak numbers for a Pro-Bowl DE. With sack numbers declining and total defense becoming 1 of the worst in the league, it just proves how much Big Al meant to the defense.

Who was Albert Haynesworth's replacement?.... Jovan Haye! Lets see what type of numbers he produced.hmmmm.....he started 15 games, posted 32 tackles, 0.5 sacks and 9 qb pressures. Everyone thinks we need to replace the ends, this is why the defense sucked. Tony Brown is our best lineman right now, he posted 38 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and led the team with 25 qb pressures. Don't tell me he got those numbers because everyone was double-teaming Jovan Haye, who has 6.5 sacks in 5 seasons. They all would have had better numbers if Jason Jones had not gotten injured and placed on IR. With adding more weight, Jason Jones could make a bigger impact and bring the Titans D where we once were, among the top. Playing in 7 games(0 starts) last season 4 sacks and 7 qb pressures, he would have probably led the team had he stayed healthy. Jovan Haye is the one they need to replace, what has he done.

In my opinion, I believe the ends we have should get a chance to start next season. If anything, DT needs help on the line. Maybe someone like Dan Williams, if not pick up a DB.
