Time For Andy Reid To Be Cut Or Traded?

Chris BureschApr 12, 2010

I want to start by saying for the past 11 years or so, I have been a huge Andy Reid supporter and have always stood behind him. I think times are changing now though. There is a rumour where I live that John Fox will be not resigned after this season and that Bill Cowher will be offered the head coaching job. It is a perfect position for him as he lives 2 hours from Charlotte and he could be near his family, like his girls, who go to Wofford and play basketball there. It is the perfect situation for him. Now that would leave John Fox out of work. I think John is a wizard when given some guy who aren't really much and make them into an excellent defensive unit. John Fox also uses an excellent 2 running back system. He believes in smash mouth jam it down your throat football. I would like to see John Fox take over the head coaching for Andy Reid in Philly. There aren't many Defensive coordinators that have a hard time planning for a team that passes almost 70% of the time. Now if the Eagles utilized LeSean McCoy to the best of his ability, I think great things would start to happen. There is a RB available about the 4th round of the draft, Ben Tate. He would be our power back that we have missed for so long. With both Tate and McCoy, This team would actually have a running game that puts fear in coordinators. Then we can go through the air and mix things up. We have some of the best wide receivers and tight ends in the game. This is all a recipe for something special. We also need a 4th wideout from the draft like Dezmon Briscoe or Eric Decker. Both should be there still in theĀ beginning of the 5th round. I would take either one. They are both tall physical receivers with great hands. Eric Decker is said to be an asset in the red zone, which is what the Eagles could use. They then should drop Hank Baskett. I am still confused on why he was even brought back? Maybe its his wife. But i would keep Dick Jaron on to develop the defensive backs, exactly what he excels at and we will need that this year. John Fox is a defensive coach which the Eagles need. He will draft us our linebackers we need and ends that will actually get to the quarterback and create havock. I just think this should be Reid's last year and then we should move on to John Fox. I am so tired of seeing promising play by the Eagles to see it fall apart by both bad coaching decisions and bad quarterbackĀ decisions. I am tired of all the badĀ personnel decisions. The players I wanted to see moved before the draft isĀ Ā Ā Trevor Laws and Asante Samuel. I know, he is a pro bowler. He didn't get their for his excellent tackling. He tackles like a fairy. He needs to be moved and someone like Kareem Jackson be brought in. Someone who enjoys hitting other teams layers. Michael Vick also needs to be moved for a 4th or 5t round pick. It isn't much, but it is something and he won't play for us anymore. Then they could go and get Marc Bulger for a backup and some training for Kolb, or a mentor. Then draft either John Skelton or Jevon Snead in the later rounds for a project behind Bulger. Bottom line is, I think if nothing changes this year, I would like to see John Fox as our new head coach..
