Liverpool Vs Fulham Preview

With both sides having qualified for the Europa league semi-finals, their premier league clash on April 11th could be a prelude to the final of the unfancied European tournament.

Fulham had been consistent in the early stages of the season, but their form has suffered as a result of their European adventure, and last time out, they came from behind to beat struggling Wigan at home to end a 3-game losing streak.

Same can be said about liverpool who've been on and off this season. Their last match, against Birmingham city ended in a 1-1 draw thus, almost certainly ending their chances of a 4th place finish.

Last time out, Fulham managed to hold Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

With Bobby Zamora, their leading scorer, doubtful for the match(Achilles problem), winter-signing Stefano Okaka might star only his second premier league game. Midfielder Simon Davies could also miss out after picking up a rib injury. American striker, Clint Dempsey is surely out with a thigh problem.

Liverpool:

After an unimpressive display from young Argentine full back Emiliano Insua this season, Daniel Agger, who played well as a left- back against Benfica could as well get the nod against Fulham.

Fernando Torres is likely to be fit after feeling some pain in the knee during the Benfica match.Wingers Maxi Rodriguez and Ryan Babel are expected to be in contention for a starting place after being ineligible and suspended respectively for the Europa tie against Benfica.
