The National Basketball Association is full of prototypical point guards; they are fast and can see the court well. They are the quarter back of the team and control the tempo.

Some of the best point guards are Steve Nash, Derron Williams, Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups. They all have the qualities of speed and court vision but one part of the game they don't have is strength and leaping ability.

This is where Derrick Rose thrives and separates himself physically from the rest of the point guards in the N.B.A. and is comparable with the King. I am not saying that Derrick is better than Lebron because he is far from it. But what I am saying is Derrick has all of the physical tools to be the Lebron James of point guards. Both Lebron and Derrick have the rare combination of speed, strength, and leaping ability.

When I am watching these two compete I have to watch them because they can physically dominate the position they are playing. They are both a one man fast break meaning they can score at will when they are going at full speed and flying through the air.

I compare Lebron and Derrick because physically they are the most athletic players in the league. They can speed past the defense of another team, rise to the rim and dunk on someone, or just bully the defender with brute strength.

One thing that people overlook is that Derrick can hunt down a player and block a shot on a fast break. I know that Lebron is popular for his rejections on a fast break but hey it is a great play and he deserves it. But let’s not forget that the 6'3'' point guard from Chicago Derrick Rose can do it as well. It is amazing when both of these athletes can run down a fast break and reject the shot.

Lebron James and Derrick Rose are phenomenal players and will dominate the league for years to come with their speed, strength, and leaping ability.
