More moves on the way for Redskins?
Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports that the Washington Redskinsacquisition of QB Donovan McNabb could very well be just the start of the moves in Washington.Ā Citing several credible NFL sources, Redskinsnew HC Mike Shanahan and GM Bruce Allen are far from done, remaking the roster to their fit Shanahanās schemes, and purging the roster of attitude problems.Ā
DT Albert Haynesworth may not be the only expected move, as sources cite the Redskins are open to āmultiple offersā.Ā
"ā[Shanahan] and [General Manager] Bruce Allen want to shake it up,ā said one NFC personnel man. āThere are some personalities they want to move out before training camp. I think some of it is the attitude of the locker room, and some of it is just the fit [schematically].ā
Ā Beyond defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth(notes), the NFC source refused to reveal specific names, but said the Redskins appeared to be open to offers on āmultipleā players.
Ā āI think theyāre going to be aggressive,ā he said. āThere have already been some calls.ā
