This is a preview of what we think the 2011 preseason favorites will be. Duke won this year's crown, and look to repeat, but will Kyle Singler stay?
Can Butler contend again, with more experience and the return of Gordon Hayward?
Will the Spartans be the favorite to win it all, while essentially the same team without Raymar Morgan?
How will UNC fare with loaded recruits and can Memphis bounce back?

#10 Memphis Tigers

Projected Starters: G Roburt Sallie(Sr) Elliott Williams(Jr)                                         F Will Coleman(Sr) Jelan Kendrick(Fr) Tarik Black(Fr)

Bench: Witherspoon, Garcia, Barton, Jackson, Tsafack

The Tigers look to rebuild quickly with a monster load of freshman talent. They will have to depend on Elliott Williams and Will Coleman to come through in the clutch.

Projection: 25-30 wins, Sweet 16

#9 Villanova Wildcats

Post-season: NCAA 2nd round

Projected Starters:G Corey Fisher(Sr) Corey Stokes(Sr)                                          F Antonio Pena(Sr) Mouphtaou Yarou(So) Maurice Sutton(So)

Bench:King, Cheek, Wayns, Pinkston, Bell

Recruiting: Cory Joseph

The Wildcats will need their senior leaders to step up in order to get to the final 4.

#8 North Carolina Tar Heels

Post-season: NIT

Bench:Marshall, Strickland, Graves, Zeller, Wear(s)

UNC will have to get major production from their stud freshman if they want to avoid this season's disaster.

#7 Kansas ST Wildcats

Post-season: NCAA Elite 8

Projected Starters:G Jacob Pullen(Sr) Rodney McGruder(So)                                     F Curtis Kelly(Sr) Jamar Samuels(Jr) Wally Judge(So)

Bench:Sutton, Russell, Southwell, Spradling, Asprilla

Kansas St will need a great year out of Big 12 preseason player of the year Jacob Pullen, and domination by their big men.

Projection:27-32 wins, Elite 8

#6 Ohio ST Buckeyes

Post-season: NCAA Sweet 16

Projected Starters:G David Lighty(Sr) Jon Diebler(Sr)                                              F Jared Sullinger(Fr) Dallas Lauderdale(Sr) DeShaun Thomas(Fr)

Bench:Buford, Sibert, Craft, Smith, Weatherspoon

Ohio ST can move up to the #2 spot if Evan Turner returns, but without him, Lighty, and Diebler will propell this team.
