It looks like Jimmie Johnson may already have a lock for his 5th straight Sprint Cup title this season but we still have a long way to go between now and Homestead. People either love Jimmie's winning ways or boo the hell out of the man for winning but at Martinsville, Jimmie wasn't even close to winning as he only scored a 9th place finish but still, to be in the top 10 on an off day is remarkable. People know how good Jimmie is but is this the year that someone defeats him for the big trophy?

There are so many drivers who seem primed to challenge the 48 team for the title this year and since the cup boys are going to phoenix, people will start asking the question, will anybody stop Jimmie? Sure you may see some guys have a shining moment the rest of the season but is there anybody who can serious challenge Jimmie for the title and the answer is NO!

Yes 2010 seems to have brought out the best in a lot of teams but still, Jimmie has won three out of six races and he has led a lap in every race this year so he is racking up points left and right. Jimmie has started off hot this year and he looks primed to win at least seven times this year, heck he may end up winning ten times this year because he can catch fire at any time and click off two or three wins in four or five weeks.

People may say that Kenseth or Harvick can be a serious challenger for the cup but this is only April and Jimmie already looks on point to run away with the title. In my opinion, we may end up seeing Jimmie wrap up the title before we get to Homestead this year and we may lack the drama agian in the chase. Drivers may end up battling for second place in points this year but if that does happen, then the Jimmie haters will be out in full force every single week.
