Reservation For Six Mock Draft 4.0

Bryan BrackneyApr 4, 2010
  1. Rams: Sam Bradford (QB) - He is almost a lock to be drafted first overall. In a poll, over 50% of Reservation For Six readers think that the Rams will pick Bradford first. The Rams only other option is Ndamukong Suh.
  2. Lions: Ndamukong Suh (DT) - Corey Williams and Sammie Lee Hill are not Albert Haynesworth, and Suh might turn out to be a better player than Haynesworth. Reservation for Six ranks Suh as the top player in the 2010 draft.
  3. Buccaneers: Gerald McCoy (DT) - McCoy hopes to become the Buccaneers best defensive tackle since Warren Sapp. The Buccaneers would have drafted Ndamukong Suh here, if he was available.
  4. Redskins: Russell Okung (OT) - With the retirement of Chris Samuels, the Redskins are in dire need of an offensive tackle. The Redskins considered drafting Jimmy Clausen here, but in the end, tackle is more of a need.
  5. Chiefs: Eric Berry (S) - The Chiefs would have liked the Redskins to draft Jimmy Clausen, so the Chiefs could draft Russell Okung, but since Okung went to Washington, Kansas City settled with Berry.
  6. Seahawks: Bryan Bulaga (OT) - The Chiefs really considered drafting Bulaga in the spot before, but luckily the Seahawks landed Bulaga with the sixth pick. Bulaga will replace Walter Jones, who is expected to retire.
  7. Browns: Dez Bryant (WR) - The Browns really missed Braylon Edwards last season, and it was very easy to tell. Bryant has the ability to come in like Calvin Johnson, and make an impact right away.
  8. Raiders: Bruce Campbell (OT) - The Raiders will once again look to fix their offensive line this off season, and Campbell is the athletic player that Al Davis loves. Even though many project him 12 spots down, the Raiders will bite on Campbell.
  9. Bills: Trent Williams (OT) - Buffalo's line was horrible last season, partly because of injuries, but mainly because they lack a true starting left tackle. Williams will likely start from week one.
  10. Jaguars: Jason Pierre-Paul (DE) - Although many think Pierre-Paul will be a bust, the Jaguars are in love with athletic lineman like Pierre-Paul (ex. Derrick Harvey, Quinton Groves).
  11. Broncos: Dan Williams (NT) - The Broncos added Jamal Williams this off season, and kept Ronald Field, but they still have not added a player who will be their nose tackle of the future.
  12. Dolphins: Sergio Kindle (OLB) - Miami released Joey Porter and did not re-sign Jason Taylor, so outside linebacker is high on their Dolphins priority list heading into the draft. Kindle reminds some of Shawne Merriman.
  13. 49ers: Joe Haden (CB) - In January, Haden was projected as a top five pick, since then his stock has droped almost ten slots. Nate Clements is not his old self, and the 49ers are in dire need of some play makers in the secondary.
  14. Seahawks: Derrick Morgan (DE) - With Patrick Kearney on the downside of his career, the Seahawks lack a solid pass rusher. Seattle was rumored to be interested in Julius Peppers this off season, but since then have not gone after a defensive end.
  15. Giants: Rolondo McClain (MLB) - The Giants are estatic that McClain is still on the board when they are on the clock. After releasing Antonio Pierce, the Giants need to find his replacement.
  16. Titans: Brandon Graham (DE) - The Titans lost both starting defensive ends this off season, Kyle Vanden Bosch and Javon Walker. The Titans could also take Carlos Dunlap here.
  17. 49ers: Anthony Davis (OT) - The 49ers are expected to move Joe Staley to right tackle, which means the 49ers have a gap at left tackle. Davis has a lot of physical tools, but is a classic boom-or-bust pick.
  18. Steelers: Mike Iupati (OG) - The Steelers did not tender Darnell Stapleton as a restricted free agent, so guard is one of their top needs.
  19. Falcons: Sean Weatherspoon (OLB) - Add Weatherspoon to Curtis Lofton and you get a pretty solid group of linebackers.
  20. Texans: Earl Thomas (S) - The Texans have been using a patchwork group of safeties ever since the team came into existence.
  21. Bengals: Jermaine Gresham (TE) - The Bengals are in dire need of a tight end, even after they drafted Chase Coffman in 2009.
  22. Patriots: Demaryius Thomas (WR) - With Randy Moss and Wes Welker injured, the Patriots must add a wide receiver.
  23. Packers: Charles Brown (OT) - The Packers are a little flustered that Anthony Davis and Bruce Campbell are not here, but they will settle with Brown.
  24. Eagles: Kyle Wilson (CB) - After trading Sheldon Brown, drafting a cornerback is the obvious move.
  25. Ravens: Jared Odrick (DE) - Even though the Ravens recently signed Cory Redding, they could still add another end.
  26. Cardinals: Everson Griffen (OT) - With Charles Brown off the board, the Cardinals must go with plan B.
  27. Cowboys: Taylor Mays (OT) - Without any decent tackles left, the Cowboys will opt to replace Ken Hamlin.
  28. Chargers: Ryan Matthews (RB) - The chargers lost LaDainian Tomlinson and Michael Bennett.
  29. Jets: Golden Tate (WR) - The Jets are not huge fans of either of their overpaid and under preforming wide receivers.
  30. Vikings: Jimmy Clausen (QB) - Even if Favre returns, the Vikings could add Clausen to serve as an "Aaron Rodgers".
  31. Colts: Rodger Saffold (OT) - Saffold would compete with Charlie Johnson to start from day one.
  32. Saints: Carlos Dunlap (DE) - Dunlap has the ability of Julius Peppers, but the work ethic of JaMarcus Russell.

Round two will be added shortly. Feel free to comment...
