The Arena Football League is back after a one-year layoff. Back in December 2008 the old AFL league suspended operations and eventually folded. The league is back with a new business plan and direction, but has the same goal to put the best product on the field for it's fans.

The NFL Network has signed on to televise a Game Of The Week on Friday Nights starting with the Chicago Rush at Iowa Barnstormers on Friday, April 2nd at 8pm EST/ 7pm CST. This a great start for the return of the AFL to be able to get the games on a network that is dedicated to show football year-round. It gives the fans from before a chance see their favorite teams again and hopefully it can draw interest to new fans that might have never watched the AFL before.

The new AFL is now a single entity. The league is now controlled by all the owners of the league to make it a well balanced league. There are 15 teams that will play in 2010 that composed of the original Arena Football League teams and AF2 teams.
