NFL Mock Drafts are crapshoots....but this one is very realistic based off of Scouts Inc. and WalterFootball's latest drafts.
Round 1-Bruce Campbell (OT Maryland)
I dont really know which one I would rather have as a fan, he or Trent Williams, but I think Al wants Bruce. Bruce is a stud at the combine. As a fan though, I hope Okung or Suh falls, but they most likely won't, so I'd be satisfied with Campbell.
Round 2-Vladmir Ducasse (OG UMASS)
Ducasse is flexible and can play all positions except LT and C. Ducasse will be an upgrade over Henderson or Carlisle or even Barnes. Jared Veldheer is a similar player, but Ducasse is a bigger guy in stature.
Round 3-Geno Atkins (DT Georgia)
After ripping up Mike Iuapti at the Senior Bowl, this once mocking pick makes sense. There is potential in this athletic freak who could get by Casey Weigmann or Javier Vasquez. The O Lines arent good in the AFC West, and Atkins could use his speed to blow right by for sacks.
Round 4-Jacoby Ford (WR Clemson)
Strictly Al....Ford is fast and a good returner. Hands are questionable, but so were last year's 4th Round Reciever. (See Murphy, Louis)
Round 5-Syd'Quan Thompson (CB Cal)
Another draft plummiter, Thompson was a 3rd round prospect a while a go, but Thompson is making an effort to lose money. Off the field questions and hands have this CB in question...........but he's still fast and better than Stanford Routt.
Round 5-Pick Forfieted for Troy Smith signing
Round 7-Marshall Newhouse (OG/T TCU)
Newhouse had a great combine, with the best guard time..and every one who watched the combine on NFL Network knew Al Davis was going to draft this big fast kid. I really think all three lineman could beat out Carlisle,Henderson, and Barnes for the jobs.
And as always-The key positions filled (Roster at a glance)
Not bad, huh?
