Realistic Ways To Improve WWE

It has been done before and I don't think I will re-invent the wheel; but as a WWE fan for more than 20 years, I thought about some suggestions that could improve what I consider a stalling product.

Of course many fans will blame the PG era or simply the poor story lines.

I don't think being PG is the real problem.  The WWE was PG in the 80's and until the last years of the '90s but still was a great product.   Regarding poor story lines, yes, it's a major reason why WWE is not as good as it should be; but what can the creative team do with the limitations caused by the brands separation that keeps wrestlers exclusively on a single show for one year?

You start to see where I want to go now, so let's start...

1. Give each show something exclusive

Raw could get the Women's division and its exclusive Women World Title as well as the Intercontinental Championship

Divas should all be on the same show.  As I write this, there are only six women on Smackdown title, which is lame.  They should bring Beth Phoenix, Layla, Michelle McCool, Natalya, Mickie James, and Tiffany on Raw to get a decent women's division (with only one title for the whole division).

More Divas should also be used as male wrestlers valets.  They are part of WWE so why not use them more than just once in a while in a wrestling role?

The Intercontinental Title should be defended exclusively on Raw, against any wrestler.  The title holder would be a Raw ''resident'' until he loses the belt.  Anyone in WWE, from any brand could challenge the champion and there should be more No. 1 contender story lines (tournaments) or even a good old Battle Royale.

In other words, the Intercontinental Title needs to get back its lost prestige and be used to send rising stars to the next level.

Smackdown  could get the Cruiserweight's division and its exclusive Cruiserweight Title   as well as a brand new title,  the TV Championship

Put all cruiserweight wrestlers on Smackdown and stop to use them for squash matches or to play the over used underdog role.  With all the unused or misused talent already on the roster and with the addition of some new comers from their developmental roster, the WWE could come with a great under-220 pounds division.

They already have established stars with Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne,  Chavo Guerrero, Zack Ryder, Jimmy Wang Yang, Kung Fu Naki, Tyson Kidd, Daniel Bryan, Justin Gabriel, Kaval (aka Lo-Ki, from FCW) and Alberto Banderas (from FCW).  Simply add some local talents in the mix and there would be something great.

The brand new TV Title would be defended on each and every Smackdown's episode. If, for any reason, the Title holder doesn't defend the Title on any given week, he's stripped from the Title and a new champion would be crowned the following week with a tournament or a Battle Royale.

2. No exclusive brand for a wrestler

Wrestlers should compete on any of the two shows.  However they should only appear once a week on TV.  So, we would see more wrestlers in action.

If there's no assigned brand for wrestlers, that offers the opportunity of more feuds, more storylines and more surprises. Then, we would not see the same five or six guys feuding week after week for a full year, until the next draft.

The unified World Title and the unified Tag Team Title would be defended on any brand.

3. Titles (unified or new ones)

a) Unify the World Titles!   Unify the WWE Title and the World Heavyweight Title.  WWE needs ONE  World Champion.  There should be only one!  There are many other titles to reward other deserving wrestlers.  One World Title would be more prestigious and the battles for it would be even more epic.

b) Keep unified the Tag Team Titles! (but just one belt for each). Oh! And improve the tag team division.  There are currently not enough legit tag teams.  Misused talent could be used properly; Kane and Mike Knox would be nice, Finlay and Sheamus would be a good Irish team, Santino and Vladimir Kozlov would plug their coming sitcom.  There is so much more possible than Cryme Tyme vs. Hart Dynasty week after week.

c) Unify the Women's Titles!   Two belts for 16 women is simply ridiculous and a it shows a lack of respect for the Divas.  As for the other titles, there should be only one.

d) Bring back the Cruiserweight Title!   As mentioned above, it would work great.  Most will prefer a good cruiserweight match between Evan Bourne and Tyson Kidd than Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show.

e) Change the USA Title by the TV Title!   Do we really need a USA Champion when we have an Intercontinental Champion?  Who would not like to see the TV Title defended on each and every week?

4. Bring back managers and great stables

Bring back Paul Bearer and other managers such as Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart.

The managers brought an additional dimension to wrestling .  Those managers added spice to matches and made heels look even more heel.  In addition, they were perfect for the wrestlers who had no mic skills.

A guy like Slick would be great for Vladimir Kozlov and Mark Henry.  Someone like Bobby Heenan would do wonders with Big Show, Jack Swagger, and heel Batista.  A big mouth like Jimmy Hart would be awesome with The Miz, Sheamus, and Dolph Ziggler.

When I mention stables, I mean more than three wrestlers; Legacy has been a failure and the Straight Edge Society is the only stable that could grow and have an impact with a dominating CM Punk.  Great story lines could be pulled from two or three stables; a feud between two stables would be good TV and/or a stable beating random people could work too.

Agree or disagree?  What else would improve WWE?
