The Riddler reports on....

Shawn Michaels Retirement

As I reported a week ago (you can see it here)

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/360789-did-shawn-michaels-foreshadow-his-retirement-report

A year ago Shawn did a interview on radio station Q101 in Chicago where he talked about possibly retiring at Wrestmania 26.

Has the interview went on Shawn went on to mention how his WWE contract expires immediately after WrestleMania and that he wants to be around more for his children and family.

Michaels concluded by saying, he feels he’ll return to wrestling again at some point, possibly when his kids are teenagers and don’t want to be around him, all the time as much, anymore.

Apparently this will come to pass.

Has reported in Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

Shawn Michaels has been telling friends, as of late he plans on retiring at WrestleMania 26. His contract is set to expire soon and he has talked about wanting to spend more time with his children as they grow up.

Michaels himself, has made noise about retiring in recent years, to the point that WWE actually scripted jokes about it on Raw. After taking time off in 2008, he made noise about deciding not to come back. Like previous times he'd taken time off, WWE would call him back to return and he would. He also said in a radio interview last year, that he had told the company his retirement date (which at the time was this year's WrestleMania). On the other hand, he's brought up the idea of wrestling well into his fifties, though only a match or two per year.

Michaels is not advertised for any shows past the night after WrestleMania when RAW emanates from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona

So there you have it readers! We may just lose one of the best, if not the greatest, in ring performer ever to step foot in the wrestling ring.

What are your thoughts?

Are you going to miss Mister WrestelMania? or  Is it finally time for him to retire ?
