Milwaukee Brewers Position

• What impact will Sabathia have on this team and what other positions should this team upgrade?

This trade is not only going to help in the rotation, but more importantly the bullpen, because of the number of inning's that CC can eat up.  Nearly every team struggles with middle relief.  Because of the fact that CC usually goes deep into games (Tuesday excluded), this will put less stress on an often over used and weak bullpen. 

Also, we will be able to play with Bush or McClung and go with the hot hand, or go with Bush at home and McCLung on the road to feed into their strengths.  As far as the long ,the Brewers would have struggled to make any long term deal with LaPorta considering his agent is the Evil Boras, so we all know that he would be another Prince down the road

• Who are some thought-to-be available players that could make a good fit on this roster?
  

I like how we are sitting right now, I think once September call ups occur we will be OK in depth, and I am not seeing a need to change anything else at this time without changing the chemistry of the team.

• What were the good and bad moments of the first half and how do you expect this team to compete in the second?
  

The good obviously is the Trade for CC, and then the performances of such veterans as Kendall, Kapler, but more importantly Torres.  He really has come to the rescue when a closer was needed,and  has stepped up his game beyond expectations. 

The negatives include Gagne and Trunbow, who were supposed to be our 8th and 9th inning guys, but that really has not worked out all that well.  In fact Turnbow continues to struggle down in the minors. 

Another negative would be Rickie Weeks and his OBP as well as BA, which are both way below an ideal leadoff hitter.  He needs to find more ways to get on base.  If he can turn it around, we will be very successful in the second half.
