Breaking News About Cesc Fabregas To Barcelona, and Arsenal-Porto Preview

John SmithMar 9, 2010

One week without blogging... thatยดs far too long. Iยดve been itching to get something down on e-paper all week, but you know what? There has been nothing to talk about.

That is until today.

Tonight weยดve got Arsenal vs. Porto with a place in the quarterfinals at stake. It would be absolutely wonderful if we could pass the Portuguese, because I think we do have the squad to win us both the league AND the Champions League despite our bad run of luck with injuries. I think we are fit, and I donยดt think running out of gas will be our problem this year.

Big news is that Cesc Fabregas misses the class tonight with a hamstring injury. La Marca have obviously hired some top translators to report the news on Arsenal. There is no word for hamstring in Spain. They just refer to all the muscles in the upper leg, but apparently Cesc has an injured KNEE, and that is the reason he canยดt play tonight.

Anyway, people here donยดt give a f*** about Cesc. They donยดt realize how f***ing good he is. I donยดt mind because if they did there would probably be even more calls for him to return to Barca this summer.

On that note, I was convinced Cesc would be gone this summer for a fee of about 50 million euro. However, with Aaron Ramseyยดs injury, we have lost one of his potential replacements for the best part of a year. I wonder if Wenger will feel it is even more necessary to hang onto the Young Welshman for a bit.

I gotta get back to work, so Iยดll go right ahead and predict the line up. Almunia Sagna - Sol - Verm - Clichy Song Diaby - Nasri Theo - Nikky B - AA I think that Rosicky will make an appearance, and I think that Eboue deserves to start. He has been great all season, and while Sagna is better defensively, I think having Eboue on the pitch pins back Hulk in their 4-3-3. If he doesnยดt track back, Eboue will run riot down the right.

Anyway, here's to a 3 - 0 victory tonight. Iยดll be in Pats if any of you lads in Valencia want to head along. UptheArse
