So how does 11 in a row sound?
Maybe its the trade for Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood during the all star break or better yet maybe its the outstanding play of their superstar forward Dirk Nowitzki..
Well Mavs fans its a combination of both because ever since the trade for Butler and Haywood the Mavs have added more depth to the team at the 2 guard and center position. Haywood has given the Mavs that low post presence they have needed for along time with the way he block shots and crashes the boards with force.
And butler has also been a key factor because he is a guy that could give you 20+ points on any given night.. Butler is loving his new role with the Mavs who are playoff contenders and feels that he is piece to the Mavs puzzle that they need to go far in the post season..
Now the game play of superstar forward Dirk Nowitzki has been unbelievable because the 7 foot German has taken it upon himself to lead the Mavs to this 11 game win streak with his sweet shooting touch from the outside and his aggressive dribble drives to the basket, and not to mention that he is shooting 95% from the free throw line during this great win streak which is amazing for a guy of his caliber.
And how could anyone forget the all star play of PG Jason Kidd who is the captain of the Mavs ship right now with the way he controls the floor and gets open looks for his teammates, how he pressures the ball on other opposing players, and the way he knocks down open shots when his team needs them the most. Kidd has been phenomenal this season and deserves all the recognition he his getting right now because the 35 yr old pg is simply ballin for the Dallas Mavericks..
The Mavs 11 game win streak has been against some great teams such as the Lakers, Hawks, Suns, Hornets, Magic, and Heat so it was against some of the leagues best which makes the 11 game win streak more sweet.. And not to mention that against the Lakers the greatest rapper alive "Jay Z" was in the building to see the Mavs get a great victory so what a way to impress Jay Z..
So how many more games can the Mavs win during this streak?
Can they compete with the Lakers and Nuggets?
Is Dirk an MVP candidate?
These are questions that everyone in Dallas wants to know the answer to, but they will have to wait and see are the Mavs the real deal or is this simply just a fluke, but with the way they are playing right now the Mavs are the real deal..
