Tribe Recap: Spring Training GAME 1: Cleveland Indians @ Cincinnati Reds

Glenn MooreContributor IMarch 5, 2010

I will be recapping every Cleveland Indians spring training game, as well as the regular season. Check out our Cleveland Indians Spring Training Show, which starts March 13th live from Goodyear, Arizona.

Finally! Baseball is here! Well, sorta…it’s only spring training. But you have to admit, it is nice to watch some Cleveland Indians baseball. The Tribe took on the Cincinnati Reds this afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark. They were the visitor in this contest, even though both teams share this field during spring training games.

The Tribe topped the Reds, 9-2 as they pounded out 14 hits on 3 home runs. Tribe pitchers combined for eight shutout innings, only giving up two runs in the eighth. Both teams bunched up the scorebook in this one, so I’ll just recap the starters for the Tribe and notable reserves.
