2010 NFL Draft: Tim Tebow—The Bride of Chucky?

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia hit the nail on the head to describe former Bucs head coach Jon Gruden:

"He likes to date quarterbacks, but he won't marry one," quipped Garcia a few years back. It was a superb description of Gruden, who never really liked any of his Buccaneers signal callers.

So was the "Bride of Chucky" in Tampa Thursday?

There was Superman, aka Tim Tebow, working with Gruden, aka Chucky, as his Tebowness prepares to unveil his new and improved passing motion at Florida's pro day in a few weeks.

Gruden, the stockpiler of quarterbacks, once carried four on his Tampa Bay roster.

Though he never "married" any, he was at it again, flirting with Superman—er, Tebow—on the fields of the Carrollwood Day School in northwest Tampa.

"I love quarterbacks," Gruden declared once again, resurrecting those fuzzy feelings he had for, well, no one on the Tampa Bay roster.

And he sure loved Tebow.

He had to.

Everyone loves Tim Tebow, right?

Absolutely. It's a sin NOT to love Tim Tebow.

Obviously Gruden must have watched his Ps and Qs in front of Tebow. The former Buccaneers coach, who drops F-bombs the way Buccaneers receivers drop passes, surely had to guard himself in front of Tebow.

"How can you not root for Tim Tebow?" Gruden asked after a day with the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Perhaps Gruden can look no further than his wife, who went to the University of Tennessee.
