Full Circle: Evolution Hits WWE in the Best Way at the Best Time!

Ron JohnsonJul 6, 2008

For those who were begging for change in the WWE, your prayers and demands have been answered. There are those who don't think too highly of change...and that's why they're sitting at home waiting for Hulk Hogan to return to television.

This is where Evolution comes full circle for the WWE. This is who made it happen.

CM Punk

There were those of us who were not happy with the ending to Night of Champions. After Edge screwed Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, the fans demanded satisfaction!

The next night on RAW, they got what they wanted, as Punk cashed in his MitB briefcase and brought the World Title back to RAW. Turnabout was truly fair play as Edge lost his gold the same way he's won it in the past.

Kofi Kingston

The Jamaican Sensation made a huge impact on ECW, and in his first official match on the RAW Roster, he defeated seasoned vet Chris Jericho to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion. It's good to see the young superstar earn his keep and become a huge implication in the storylines.

Team Priceless

If there is anyone who knows about being a generational superstar, it's Randy Orton. With Orton on the shelf at least until August, it was time for Ted DiBiase to step up.

At Night of Champions, he proved that everybody's got a price. Despite the history between their fathers, DiBiase and Cody Rhodes are running things as World Tag Team Champions. Shocking the world and doing it right under your former partner's nose: Simply Priceless. But a word of advice: Change the entrance song.

Cryme Tyme

Brooklyn! Brooklyn! Thanks to the departures of Brian Kendrick, Trevor Murdoch, and Carlito, Cryme Tyme appears to be the frontrunners for the tag team championships.

It's great how it worked out for the Boys from Brooklyn. One minute they're given their walking papers and the next minute, they could be a heartbeat away from becoming the No. 1 Contenders for the Tag Team Championships.

ECW

Mark Henry

The world's strongest man has been held back for so long on SmackDown! He helped Edge cash in the Money in the Bank Briefcase against The Undertaker. He helped Randy Orton keep John Cena at bay en route to No Way Out.

It was long overdue for him to hit the big time (literally). At Night of Champions, Henry was no longer held back as he was able to defeat both Kane and Big Show to become the ECW Champion.

SmackDown!

MVP

This may not seem like a big deal at the moment, but with Triple H on SmackDown!, this opens doors for the former United States Champion. If no one noticed this past Friday night, SmackDown!'s Franchise Playa started getting cheers after Monday night's footage was shown.

With the US Title and WWE Tag Team Titles on ECW, it won't be long before The King of Ballin' has more gold to add to his list of accomplishments.

Divas Championship

After a good month of speculation, we finally have the championship, the match, and the contenders. This past Friday, the Divas Championship was unveiled during a Golden Dreams Match. Though the date has yet to be determined, we now know that Natalya will face Michelle McCool for the newly designed championship.

There are those who feel that this championship is a little whacky, but it's clear that SmackDown! GM Vickie Guerrero is looking for her own style when it comes to her show. In all honesty, this championship fits in perfectly with everything else that has transpired.

This new evolution isn't taking away from the already accomplished veterans on the respective rosters.

It's clear that Batista and John Cena will be the frontrunners for the World Heavyweight Championship. Cryme Tyme could be adding some new bling to their shelves. Kofi will most likely be facing Lance Cade in the future. As for Henry, sky's the limit for the new ruler of The Land of Extreme.
