Brian Scott's Looking for a Little Luck at Vegas
Braun Racing rookie Brian Scott will be driving the No. 11 StopRepairBills.com Toyota at Las Vegas for Saturday afternoon's Sam's Town 300 and hopes lady luck is on his side.
Scott is riding a wave of momentum heading into Vegas, having collected his first top-10 finish, and it's his first start in the Nationwide Series at that track.
It's the third of five races that Scott and his No. 11 team will need to qualify on speed. I doubt he'll have any problems making the field and with this team's focus on qualifying it should be a top-10 starting spot.
Scott has made three previous starts at Vegas in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and it should help him with being familiar with what to expect handling-wise.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a multi-grooved track that features some great side-by-side racing where grip is important and the high line is the fastest way around.
It's also a track where a rookie like Scott will benefit from having a veteran crew chief like Billy Wilburn calling the shots.
Scott will be racing chassis No. BR46 this weekend and it's another brand new Camry.
He should have another fast ride, feel he'll have another race where he'll run a smart race, and set himself up for another top-10 or an even better finish.
Scott spent some time this week visiting family and friends in Boise, ID and will be excited to have them also in attendance at Vegas cheering him on.
It would be cool to see him celebrating in victory lane with his first Nationwide win. If it happens lady luck was on his side and his No. 11 StopRepairBills.com team got him off pit road first on the races final pit stop.
