Michael SchotteyFeb 25, 2010

Filed 12:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium.

Dolphins GM, Jeff Ireland, took the podium at 11:30 for questions.

  • On what he personally focuses on at the Combine: "Intelligence is the most important thing."
  • Coaching the Senior Bowl a huge advantageget to break down film with a guy, see if he is the same player in shorts that he is on the field.
  • Cameron Wake: "It's a process for him, a pass rusher right now, need to work on being an every down player."
  • (Trading Picks) In general, depends on what is there, want as many picks as possible though.
  • "We need every position."
  • Stance on porter: None of the off-the-field talking had anything to do with attempted release.
  • Henne has continued to develop well.
  • (Pressure?) Win now society...but still a developing team.
  • On Will Allen: It is obviously something we're not happy about, and he knows that.
  • Mike Nolan is a huge asset to this team, as well as Bill Sheridan.
  • Need big playmakers. Think we have two young players that start that process.
