Come to Think of it...One Hundred Reasons to Thank You
The number "100" means a lot of different things to different people.
It may refer to the one hundred years since the Cubs have last won the World Series.
Maybe it earmarks a "century of progress" or denotes the celebration of a centenarian (a person who lives to be 100 years old.)

Please excuse the self-indulgence for a moment. This is my 100th article for B/R and I can honestly say I've enjoyed writing each one of them. I can’t speak for the quality of my work, as that is for others, such as yourselves, to decide.
But I do know that anything that comes in one hundred is a lot. That's why people are making such a fuss over this being the anniversary of the last Cubs WS in 1908.
And yes, even in this economy, $100 is still a lot of money. You bend down and find a Ben Franklin on the ground or in the pocket of a seldom-used jacket and you'll know what I mean.
From "100 bottles of beer on the wall" to Herrik's 100 kisses, the number one

Did you know that the One Hundred Years War actually lasted 116 years?
Of course, in sports 100 refers to the number of yards in an American

Pythagoreans considered 100 as divinely divine because it is the square (10 x 10) of the divine decad (10).
The 100th day of the year is April 10th, the day the Titanic set sail.
Consider this: The Gathering of the 100 Gods occurs on the 19th day of the first lunar month. The Chinese go to bed early on this Rats' Wedding Day (March 5) so as not to disturb the rats. It is the only day during this month when newly married daughters may visit their parents.
Then I look around, and to my chagrin, I find that 29 other B/R writers have already passed the century mark, with a few having written more than 300 articles. Wow. Come to think of it, perhaps 100 ain't such a big thing after all.
But I thank you, dear readers, for your support (and yes, your indulgence).
