On January 4th 2010, the most recognisable name in pro wrestling-Hulk Hogan made his TNA debut. His role was thought to be very much a managerial sort of role and was not expected by fans to ever step in the ring for a competitive match. But anyone who has followed Hogan’s career over the last 10-20 years knows that with the Hulkster things are never what they seem. It was just a matter before he laced up those old boots of his to get back in the ring.

Now we have it, the Hulkster is going to step in the ring for his first competitive match in the United States after a very long time on the 8th of March. He will be teaming up with Abyss to take on A J styles and Hogan’s equally old nemesis “the nature boy” Ric Flair. In November, Hogan performed with a group of wrestlers across Australia in a tour titled Hulkamania: Let the Battle Begin. The main event was a rematch between Hogan and Ric Flair. Hogan defeated Flair in all four matches. It is speculated that it was part of Hogans contract that he win all his matches.( Ric was paid extra to lose and look like a jobber in front of the Hulkster, great way to thank his WWE fans,eh??)

In Hogan you have a guy who cannot even perform his signature leg drop (lamest move ever, anyone??) due to medical restrictions but yet he seems determined to get in the ring. Hogan loves the spotlight; it is almost as if he is addicted to it. It is just matter of time before Hogan is crowned the new TNA world heavyweight champion.

Hogan will eventually reform the NWO or OWG(old world org) with his mates Hall, Nash and all the other  has beens because he will understand that it is the only way he can draw attention to himself. Hogan becoming TNA world heavyweight champion is not a possibility but it is an inevitability. Hogan wants to be the face of TNA both outside the ring and inside the ring, he wants people to buy his merchandise more than anyone else’s, he wants Hulkamania to run wild again across the world, But as Hogan himself said it is a different time and a different place. It will end up pretty lame as usual.

So watcha gonna brothers, watcha gonna do when Hulk Hogan and his retirement home boys run wild on you.
