Hello, as a raider fan i am hearing all this talk about JaMarcus Russel such as, he's lazy, he has no work ethic, he's fat, doesn't care about the team, and has no leadership abilities. I hear these things and it makes me think...

Damn..all of these people saying these things must be IN the locker room, must be IN the huddle when J.R. is talking, must be ON the practice field or INSIDE his head. Because frankly it doesn't make much sense to me if you say this but don't have any hard facts to support it.

So he goes to a basketball game during the offseason.so what?

If Tom Brady went to see a Celtic game people wouldn't give a damn.

And that kind of makes me wonder. Is it because JaMarcus played so horrible this year? Probably. But think, this was only his second season as a starter in the NFL. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying he has no blame for his mistakes, because he should take it. But i don't think its fair when he hasn't had a solid, consistent coaching staff since being drafted in 2007, a decent offensive line to support him, and recievers with hands of stone and water.

Sure you can say Bruce G. was a HUGE improvement, which I'm not denying but he really wasn't THAT good. Think about it, the only way he succeeded was because he had quick feet to RUN FOR HIS LIFE because our offensive line was so horrible.

And you probably didn't even hear, or if you did you didn't care, how J.R. lost two people very close to him, including his longtime mentor, during the regular season. Which would explain some of his horrific play sometimes.

Sure, Brett Favre went and played his heart out against us the day after his father died, but you need to realize the JaMarcus is still very young and probably couldn't deal with all the stress he's been put under.

And you who call yourself part of Raider Nation should be ashamed for booing him or burning his jersey (youtube). You don't know the man behind the facemask, so don't judge him unless you really get to know him.

Besides you need to realize that no matter what you say, Al Davis won't listen. This is his team and his quarterback so you better get used to it.

Give him one more season, after that say whatever you want.

So until the day we see JaMarcus hoist that Lombardi Trophy in the air, this is Marcus signing off.

Keep in mind that I'm only 15. I know my stuff.
