AL Central: Midseason check-up

As of right now, it goes White Sox, Twins, Tigers, Indians, then the always faithful Royals. I am a Twins fan and will do my best to have an unbiased opinion.

White Sox- Their pitching staff is solid with Buehrle, Contreras, Danks, Floyd, and Vazquez in their rotation. Granted that Contreras is having a better year than last year, not hard to improve, he still has a few issues. Vazquez has similar stats, just worse than last years numbers. They have power pouring out of every pore. Some more than others, but clutch nonetheless.

Twins- Probably the second biggest surprise of the year, next to the Rays. Hernandez, Baker, Slowey, Blackburn, and Perkins have all been effective throughout the year. Hernandez is the only one that people know about and yet everyone else is out performing him. Young, having possibly the most  disappointing year of anyone in the majors, is making me think that Twins should trade Young for Garza back. Just leave everyone else in their respective spots. Everyone on the team is picking each other up and have amazing chemistry, which is more effective than spending millions on one player, A-Rod.

Tigers- One of the surprising teams of the year, but not in a good way. They were many peoples top picks to win the division and are well behind that goal. Shaky pitching and less than stellar batting performances from their star players makes them almost out of the division race.

Indians- Yet another case of division winner picks gone wrong, it seems as if nothing has gone right for them. Their rotation is less then mediocre while they have had injuries to some key players. Carmona, Martinez, and Hafner are part of the reason why they haven't been so hot. The really good teams can have someone hurt and then call up a minor and make it seem like no one's missing. Not for the Indians

Royals- All I have to do is say their name and people feel sorry for the fans. If you really are rebuilding, should you be good by now? Free tickets could be given out and no one would take them
