Pro Football Talk is trying to create some news based upon an assumption that agent Bus Cook is pressuring Brett Favre to play in 2008. Whether it's true or not is debatable ... and questionable.
It seems that the Green Bay Packers are content to wait to sign their new 2008 draft choices until after the Fourth of July weekend. At least that's what several of the agents are saying. Expect a flurry of activity starting next week and in the weeks leading up to training camp.
Aaron Rodgers has created a mini-stir when he was quoted in a recent Sports Illustrated article as saying, "I don't feel I need to sell myself to fans. They need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut." He's even felt the need to clarify his remarks to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Rodgers shouldn't have anything to apologize for. He may have been too blunt for most people's liking, but he's right on the money. If you're a real Packers fan, get on board!
