Daily Market Trends: Slow Day for Pitching Matchups
Moving Today's Market
It’s not an exciting day for pitching macthups, and the number of bets show it (only two games have breached 10,000 bets). Only three games contain a pair of starting pitchers with sub 4.00 ERAs, but two are battles between division leaders and the teams directly trailing them in the standings.
Oakland @ Anaheim is first of these, and is seeing most of the early action due to a late afternoon start time. The bets and the money seem to slightly favor the Angles’ Joe Saunders (11-4. 3.06 ERA) over the Athletics’ Dana Eveland (6-5, 3.34).

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The other division battle sees Tampa Bayace Scott Kazmir (7-3, 2.28) trying to complete the surprising three-game sweep against Daisuke Matsuzaka (9-1, 3.21) and the Boston Red Sox. Matsuzaka looks to continue his strong rebound since a horrendous first start after coming off the DL (1IP, 6H, 7ER vs. STL on 6/21).
Indians ace CC Sabathia (6-8, 3.78) looks to add to his trade value (and next contract) against Jose Contreras (7-6, 3.99) and the AL Central leading White Sox.

Tomorrow's Market Movers
Baseball fans have been excited all season for the battle between the Orioles and Royals, but I have a feeling the Red Sox @ Yankees four-game series might see a little action.
