Shawn Michaels Still Has What It Takes to Be World Champion?

I would get straight to the point.

Why has Shawn Michaels been out of the World Title picture since forever?

If The Undertaker has his usual World Title reign every now and then, the one credible wrestler that is not seen hoisting the World Title since some time is none other than The Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels.

Shawn has put out some great matches in the past two years giving everything he possibly could looking at his astonishing feud with Chris Jericho in 2008, and then last year a classic with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXV.

At the same time even Jericho gets to taste some gold every now and then. Jericho even now seems to be very promising at the coming Elimination Chamber PPV where he might win the World Heavyweight Championship whereas Shawn seems to be totally out of the Title hunt.

Apart from this, where I feel The Undertaker and Chris Jericho deserve the World Title whenever it’s put on them, the fact remains that at the same time Shawn also is a deserving contender for it but is always overlooked. I just think that the WWE is not interested to put the belt on him for some strange reason.

In the past couple of months we have seen John Cena beating Shawn Michaels and Triple H in traditional Triple Threat matches. The issue remains that guys like John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton and Edge seem to get back on the World Title track whereas Shawn is stuck somewhere else.

The script-of-obsession to break the streak of The Undertaker seems to be going too far in my opinion. Now there are rumors that Shawn would be putting his career on the line against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXVI.

Shawn Michaels has nothing to prove to anybody, and it’s obvious with the crowd reaction he gets which is second to none that Shawn still has what it takes to be the World Champion.

With that said, the bottom line is that WWE should really give Shawn another World Title reign which in my opinion, whether you love him or hate him, he truly deserves before he retires.

So, what do you think about a World Title involved in The Showstopper's storyline further if they make a HBK v/s HHH match for Wrestlemania XXVI?
