Hitman's Closure: Bret Hart, John Cena Set To Take On McMahon, Batista

From the way it seems to unfold, we are headed for a match with Bret “The Hitman” Hart alongside John Cena to face Vince McMahon alongside Dave Batista at Wrestlemania XXVI.

Last night WWE's Monday Night Raw featured confrontation between Vince McMahon and John Cena.

John Cena revealed to Vince that Bret Hart wanted to wrestle one more time at Wrestlemania XXVI but this time he wanted to fight Vince McMahon.

Vince, the coward he has always been, ruled out any such match from taking place.

Cena, as convincingly witty as always, talked Vince into saying yes for a match against Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Moments later, Hart attacked McMahon from behind and McMahon ran out of the ring screaming that he would never give Bret the match he wanted.

Bret Hart's actions at the end of Raw had shades of Survivor Series 1997 all over. It is only a matter of time that this match will take place, and bring closure to one of the biggest rivalries in the history of Pro-Wrestling.

The Cena-Batista feud seems to be boiling amidst the Hart-McMahon showdown. It is yet unclear whether Hart would go one-on-one against McMahon, but I'd bet on Hart teaming with Cena to go against McMahon teaming with "The Animal" Batista.

The way Cena and Batista have been involved in the Bret Hart angle, shows that the WWE is interested in making this happen. There is also a possibility that Cena wins the WWE Title at the Elimination Chamber PPV which would mean that this match at Wrestlemania XXVI might be for the WWE Title.

In my opinion, I don't think the WWE would involve any title in the Hart-McMahon match even if it's for Cena/Batista, which means that most probably Cena would not win it at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

Of course, due to Bret Hart’s health issues resulting from the concussion and the stroke he suffered, he cannot take the usual bumps which would result in a very limited in-ring performance.

Thus, it makes perfect sense to involve John Cena to side with The Hitman Bret Hart and for Batista to side with Vince McMahon especially since Batista’s heel turn has been played off really well recently.

This in turn would make the match more interesting to watch bringing a legit classical Heel v/s Face match to us, as it can be remembered that during the 90’s Bret Hart was the face of the WWE, and Cena relates to that fanfare today.

I, personally, didn’t really like the Superhero John Cena lately. As much as the kids love him I just couldn’t stand him. However, since Cena has gotten involved in this angle I feel this certainly gives Cena something else to talk about other than how he can never give up or say “I Quit” so it’s definitely better.

Regardless of the limited Hitman that we are getting to see this time around, Bret Hart has certainly brought back interest of many towards the WWE. The story is still unfolding as to what will actually happen at Wrestlemania XXVI.

One thing that is definitely going to happen this year at Wrestlemania is the fact that Bret Hart’s Hitman character is going to get his revenge bringing a well-deserved closure to this intense 12-year long rivalry.

Leave your comments on how you think this epic rivalry should unfold at Wrestlemania XXVI and your views regarding the involvement or role of Cena and Batista in it.
