ECW Wrapped Up: Christian Heading to Raw or Smackdown?
The fate is sealed for ECW, and the established Superstars on it would have a choice to either go to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night Smackdown.
With that said, Christian’s appearance last night on Monday Night Raw was a treat to many (including me) and his confrontation with the WWE Champion Sheamus speculates to him being involved in a main event sooner rather than later.
Also, the fact that Sheamus criticized the ECW Championship as being useless hinted that Christian would definitely want to go after one of the World Titles now.
It is yet to find out if Christian makes an appearance on Smackdown this week, which in my opinion is going to happen and we might as well get a pinch of an Edge-Christian sequence.
It can also happen to play a part in the on-going Edge-Jericho rivalry, with Christian being involved in it somehow.
This means that the WWE has countless opportunities and many good things can come out at this year’s Wrestlemania XXVI.
I personally feel Christian should be involved in the World Title main event scene, it’s about time.
If the Bret Hart and Vince McMahon showdown leads to a Tag Team match between Hart-Cena V/s McMahon-Batista, then it takes Cena and Batista out of the World Title picture at Wrestlemania XXVI.
At the same time Hart-Cena V/s McMahon-Batista match can involve a World Title if Cena wins the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV, but I don’t see that happening.
On another front, Shawn Michaels seems to be set to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. The possibility that this might not happen is if Shawn gets involved in a feud with Triple H which leads to a showdown at Wrestlemania between HBK and HHH.
So, chances are relatively higher still for Christian to be in a World Title match at Wrestlemania XXVI.
Possible scenarios on my mind include Christian’s involvement in the Edge-Jericho feud if he heads to Smackdown, and if he chooses to be in Raw then it’s probably going to be dealing with Sheamus once again which might turn out to be entertaining as well.
Another aspect can be an angle involving Christian and CM Punk which is likely as Punk doesn’t seem to have any major feud going on right now.
On the contrary, if Jeff Hardy returns, an epic feud could take place between him and CM Punk leading to Wrestlemania XXVI, and who would want to miss that since Punk’s been running his mouth excellently with his Straight-Edge Society, but it seems highly unlikely to happen due to the Jeff Hardy situation.
I would want Christian to head towards Smackdown rather than Raw because I feel that would be more entertaining to watch.
Feel free to leave your comments regarding what might be in store for Christian in the coming weeks leading up to Wrestlemania XXVI, and any possible feuds in the near future.
