The Chicago Bulls have a All Star. Derrick Rose made the reserves and may one day actually be a starter. He has really stepped up his play after a slow start plagued by health problems. The Bulls have gone on a run and saved their head coaches job for now. They may actually start to get some publicity as football season comes to an end with this Sundays Super Bowl. The Bulls have climbed over the difficult .500 hundred mark and appear likely to stay well above that mark all season long. I am really surprised by the hustle and play of the Bulls. The way they played earlier in the year made many wonder if this was going to be another horrible year on the court for the Bulls.

Now that Brad Miller is playing more they seem to have a new toughness. Luol Deng has also stepped up his play this season as John Salmons struggle has pushed the need for others to step up. I am just finally glad that a Chicago Bull will be in the NBA All Star after so many long years. It was 1998 and their last championship when a Chicago Bull actually made the all star team. That is really saying something about the bad quality of athlete that has worn a Chicago Bull uniform since the days of Michael Jordon. It is also good to see Derrick will not be a wasted guard draft pick like Jay Williams was a few years back. The biggest problem the Bulls have had in trying to rebuild this once mighty organization has been their awful wasted draft picks. It is safe to say that Derrick Rose will not be one of those draft picks in recent years.
The Bulls have been on the second best run in the league after the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their 13-5 record has really been amazing and the way their playing now, it would not surprise me to see this team finish fifteen games of the five hundred mark. If this is the case the Bulls will have their best chance of going far into the playoffs in a long time.
