Kingston Botches Again: Still Deserving Of His Push?

Last night, February 1, on Monday Night RAW, viewers witnessed an Elimination Chamber qualifying match between Kofi Kingston and Big Show.

This match featured the second of Kingston's recent botches

For anyone who missed RAW last night, you can see what I am referring to here. You can see the botch happening around 3:15, when Kofi slips on the top turnbuckle, causing a little bit of confusion between himself and the Big Show. The match still ended in Kofi's favor, however, when the Big Show got disqualified for accidentally punching a referree after he was poked in the eye by Kingston.

For the record, and completely unrelated to what I am writing about, this is the first time I have ever truly felt sorry for the Big Show. The "dumb giant" role he seemed to portray last night actually made me sad to see the poor guy get the DQ. Props to Big Show for that one.

Anyway, the first botch, as many remember, happened in the triple threat match between John Cena, Randy Orton, and Kofi Kingston, when Kofi seemed to forget to stay down on the mat. Orton made a very obvious scene over this incident, calling Kingston "stupid" among other things.

WWE fans who are more critical of Kingston, and disagree, with his push, probably responded by saying he isn't ready for the main event, while those who support Kingston are most likely saying "give the poor man a break."

My opinion? Kofi Kingston still deserves a main event push, and I truly hope he continues to receive it.

I mean, have we already forgotten about this? Or this?

Two classic moments that propelled Kingston into stardom should not be cancelled out by two minor botches that ultimately didn't ruin anything.

We have seen bigger names than Kingston make more mistakes and still remain high up in the company. I feel like I don't need to mention any names here...

Perhaps my worrying is in vein and Kingston's push will not be halted, but I truly do hope that last night doesn't change anything for Kofi Kingston.

Please leave your questions and comments below. What do you think should be done with Kingston? Is this a bigger deal than I am making it? I would love to hear from you.
