Stenson Commits to the PGA Tour
World Number eight Henrik Stenson has confirmed he will be rejoining the PGA Tour for the 2010 season.
The Swede picked up the biggest victory of his career last season, winning the Players' Championship at Sawgrass in May and says his main focus will be stateside this year.
The 33-year-old last took up PGA Tour Membership in 2007 and usually starts the season in America before moving back to Europe but sees 2010 as a possible breakthrough year and feels it's time to fully commit to the American Circuit.

The world number eight told reporters: "Family-wise it's convenient and also all of the big events are pretty much in America from the Match Play up until the US Open and then I just add a couple in between."
Stenson will base himself in Orlando and believes the States is the ideal place to play golf due to the weather and strong competition. The Swede also has a young family and is looking to settle down and feels America is the best place for him to have both a settled home life and a successful career.
"I feel I get a better rhythm to my schedule if I play the early part of the season in the States and then to be able to throw a couple of the regular US PGA Tour events in," he said.
However, he added that he will be occasionally returning to his roots saying: "Obviously Europe is still my home tour and I'll be making a few visits."
One of these visits is this week's Qatar Masters where he is among a number of star names taking part and the golf betting odds for the tournament are particularly interesting.
The Swede played ten events in America last year, including the four majors and World Championship Events but is expected to play closer to 20 this season and is targeting Ryder Cup Qualification as well as a strong finish in the season ending Fed-Ex cup.
"It would be the odd tournament during the summer and then obviously I'm hoping to have a successful FedEx series leading into the Ryder Cup," Stenson added.
Some pundits are already betting the Swede will be able to repeat his Players' Championship victory in 2010, but it remains to be seen what kind of season he will have.
